Today marks the one-year anniversary of the US military airstrikes on the Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) trauma hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, in which 42 people lost their lives. The attack was a violation of the rules of war, which require military forces to protect medical facilities and personnel in war zones.

Governments, global institutions, funders, civil society and the private sector will set their health priorities and agenda and determine health policies and plans based on this new 15-year blueprint that will affect the health needs of our patients and vulnerable population’s across the world.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is deeply concerned that without transparency or public consultation, the TPP will create damaging trade-agreement precedents that will further restrict access to life-saving medicines for millions of people.
